Veeam made a big announcement last week at AWS re:invent which took place in Las Vegas, Nevada. Veeam Backup for AWS is a big announcement for Veeam that extends it’s native capabilities.
This product is now available in a FREE edition, allowing you to backup up to 10 EC2 instances, with no restrictions.
Here are a few of the features that I am excited for:
- Deploy from AWS Marketplace
- Natively backup EC2 instances
- Automate EBS Snapshots
- Multi-Factor authentication and role based security
- Dynamic Worker deployment (act as data movers)
- Built in cost estimator
